The law firm of Mark R. Donatelli, Ltd. was established in January of 1992 by Mark R. Donatelli.  Peter Coules, Jr. joined the firm in December of 1994 and consequently Donatelli & Coules, Ltd. was established.  The firm's attorneys, Mark Donatelli and Peter Coules, Jr. have extensive experience with respect to estate planning, wills, trusts, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, family limited partnerships, insurance trusts, corporate contracts, real estate transactions including residential and commercial, zoning matters, land use, and representation of developers, personal injury, and workers compensation cases, and preparation of federal and state estate tax returns, preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and not-for-profit organizations including private foundations.

Mark Donatelli has been practicing law since 1986, and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1981.  Mark graduated with honors from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign in 1981 with a B.S. in Accountancy.  He received his law degree with honors from DePaul University College of Law in 1986.  Prior to starting the firm, Mark was associated with the Chicago law firms of Mayer, Brown & Platt and Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon, and as a result of his tenure with these law firms has extensive estate planning and tax experience.  Mark’s practice is concentrated in the areas of wills, trusts, estate planning, probate and income tax preparation. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mark was associated with the public accounting firm Arthur Andersen LLP for several years.  Mark was member of the Village of Hinsdale's Plan Commission for six years.  Mark also is a former member of the Board of Directors and is a past Officer of the Rotary Club of Hinsdale and the Hinsdale Central Foundation. Mark is currently a member of the Hinsdale Hospital’s Civic Advisory Board and a past Building Trustee for the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce, a past Treasurer of the Hinsdale/Clarendon Hills Jaycees and a Volunteer to the American Cancer Society’s Hoops for Life Fundraiser.  Mark has also coached teams for Hinsdale Little League Baseball, the Community House flag football program and Saint Isaac Jogues Basketball during the past several years.

Peter Coules, Jr. has been practicing law since 1986.  Peter graduated with honors from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign in 1983 with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Political Science.  He received his law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1986.  Prior to establishing Donatelli & Coules, Ltd. with Mark, Peter was an associate and then a partner with the Chicago law firm of Stotis & Baird.  Peter has extensive corporate, municipal, not-for-profit, and commercial and personal injury litigation experience as a result of his tenure with this law firm.  Additionally, he has experience dealing with clients in the areas of real estate, land use, corporate contracts/transactions, wills, trusts, estate planning and probate.  Peter is a former elected Trustee of the Village of Lemont, a member of the Board of Directors of the Donald J. Doody Foundation and St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Oak Lawn and past President of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
